A charity concert is being held for Ronald McDonald House on August 26th at Club Richelieu in Welland. Doors open at 6pm. Tickets are $10.00 each. Bands include Sukkapunch, the Snips, Lowtalker, Bitter Hearts, Face and Thousand Young.

Grace Home for Youth with Disabilities is ready to accept residents. This Saturday, August 28th from 1 to 4 p.m. take some time to drop in at their open house at 26 Fir Ave. in St. Catharines. On September 2nd, The Lundy's Lane Historical Society presents "Niagara's Lost Amusement Park" a presentation by Ken Jones, CEO of the Niagara Railway Museum. This interesting presentation will be held at 7:30 p.m. in the La Marsh Room of the Niagara Falls Public Library, 4848 Victoria Avenue.

When Terry Fox recognized that he would not be able to complete his Marathon of Hope for cancer research in 1980, he bequeathed his mission to his fellow Canadians and The Terry Fox Run began.

Coming up on Oct. 3rd is “Cut-it-Out”- Salons in support of Women’s Place of South Niagara. Starting at noon participating salons in Niagara will offer their services at a discounted rate. Proceeds will support Women’s Place.

The Stair Climb for Cancer is happening later this year, the date has been moved to November 6th, 2010.
